Hi! I’m Sarah, and I created this blog to document my adventures in sewing and knitting.
I started sewing when I was about 7–my Nana gave me some embroidery thread and a plastic needlework “fabric” and a pattern and a needle. I made a little house–I remember it had a red roof, yellow windows, a green door, blue walls, and a little red heart up near the roof. I was hooked–I started cross-stitching, embroidering, hooking rugs, sewing, everything I could get my hands on. I stopped for a long while in my teens, and picked up knitting in my 20s. I started sewing again in my late 20s, wanting to pick up my creative hobbies again.
I currently am knitting (I love it, but it’s so slow!), cross-stitching here and there, and sewing. I’ve made a few skirts and dresses, stuffed animals, and now am getting into quilting.
I do have four cats, ranging from 14 years to 5 months old, and it’s an adventure every day! All of my knitting and sewing has a little cat hair in it, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I can be found on Ravelry as seesarahknit.
